The actress previously lived with her younger sister, Elle, in a home they purchased together in 2017 Dakota Fanning is venturing out on her own.
After living with her younger sister, Elle, in a home in L.A.’s Valley Village neighborhood they bought together in early 2017, she has purchased a property in nearby Toluca Lake for $2.95 million.
The Alienist star’s new place is a five-bedroom, six-bathroom Cape Cod–style residence that spans 4,428 square feet, Variety reports.
The formal living room has a carved mantel fireplace and recessed ceiling lights, while the formal dining room is decorated with a crystal chandelier and an impressive wall of glass-fronted built-in cabinets.
French windows over the farmhouse-style sink overlook the backyard, and a charming breakfast nook just off the kitchen provides a sweet, sunny spot for morning coffee and toast.
There’s also a family room and maid’s quarters on the ground floor.
Upstairs, the master suite is spacious and airy, with a vaulted ceiling giving the room a cavernous feel.
The suite boasts its own fireplace and built-in cabinets and shelves, as well as a walk-in closet, balcony, and attached master bathroom with dual vanities and a glass-enclosed steam shower.
Down below in the backyard is a covered loggia and a crystalline plunge pool with inset spa.
A lounge area closer to the home also makes for a great alfresco gathering space, and photos from the listing show two hammock swings hanging from the wooden shade structures out back. A built-in barbecue grill and a small lawn round out the backyard offerings.
The home also features an attached two-car garage, accessible via the center hall at the front of the home.
