A cleaning-obsessed mum who cleans her house every day for five hours and has banned her family from using the shower has revealed what her gruelling daily schedule looks like.
Australian woman Krystal, who appeared on Channel 4's Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners in 2016 but has recently gone viral after her habits were shared on TikTok, irons her bed sheets every single day and buffs her mirror at least 50 times to ensure it is completely smudge-free.
'This shower, we don't use it, it's for display purposes,' Krystal said in the show, as she furiously scrubbed, hoovered and polished her shower. The mum, now 35, said she spends five hours every single day keeping her two-bedroom London apartment sparkling and begins at 5am in order to ensure it gets done;
'When I'm cleaning I have to time the cleans, it's like a military operation, I need to get it done,' Krystal said.
'There's always something to do. We've got mirror splashbacks, I polish that 50 times a day, and when my sheets come out of the dryer every day they are still a bit crinkly, so I iron them.' Krystal added: 'I think everyone should iron their sheets.'
Krystal said her cleaning obsession has even impacted her relationship as she admitted it has got in the way of her wedding planning and means she doesn't see as much of her partner as she might like.
'I feel like if anyone is neglected it would be my partner. I'd like to get married but if I'm constantly choosing cleaning over spending time with somebody, why would they want to marry me?' she said.
Krystal said she has an eight-month-old son, who she looks after in between her cleaning schedule. Thousands who saw the clip said they were shocked over Krystal's obsessive ways.
'The poor baby isn't going to develop an immune system, never being exposed to germs,' one commenter posted. 'She keeps a shower for display? One of the weirdest things I've ever heard,' another added. A third wrote: 'She would keep an awesome bed and breakfast'.
