The modest five-bedroom home where actor Jon Voight was raised has just been listed for $1.09 million—30 years after it was first put on the market in the wake of his mother's death.
Today, the 86-year-old Voight, who is the father of actress Angelina Jolie, lives a world away from the quaint Scarsdale, NY, street on which he grew up, having fled the nest and found fame, as well as an extravagant $21 million mansion, in Los Angeles.
However, the Scarsdale property, which is listed by Mark Turken of Westchester Realty NY, maintains its close connection to Voight, having previously been owned by the actor's parents, Barbara and Elmer.
The listing notes the illustrious history of the 2,239-square-foot property, which was once home to the "Hollywood star." It also urges homebuyers to soak in the property's "exquisite" renovations.

According to records, the property was built in 1936 and is believed to have been occupied by the Voight family for many years.
In August 1996, it was sold by the actor's brother, James Wesley Voight, eight months after their mother's death.
At the time, the property fetched just $280,000. It was sold again less than two years later, this time for $375,000.
It most recently changed hands in August 2024 for $545,165. Now back on the market, it features several impressive upgrades.

His success in front of the camera prompted Voight to put down roots in Los Angeles, where he currently owns an expansive Beverly Hills compound, which he has tried to offload on multiple occasions.
The jewel of the property is the land—3.34 acres of it, much of which is bare—offering developers the opportunity to raze Voight's midcentury modern home to make way for a modern megamansion.
But even that opportunity has not helped the actor find a buyer, as the home has been on the market since 2019 at prices ranging from $13.99 million to $21 million.
