Area is 13. 7 km and comprises with 16 wards. It’s bordered Mayangone township and Thamine junction, Innya lake in the east, Kamaryut township in the south, Hlaingtharya township in the east. And then there are 32 primary schools, 8 middle schools and 4 high schools in the township. Innsein road, Pyay road and Baho road  which are  main roads of Yangon city cross through in this township. Pyay Road formerly Prome Road is a major thoroughfare of Yangon, Burma and the first stage of the National Highway 1 which eventually leads to Mandalay. It crosses the western-central side of the city in a north-south direction. It contains many important buildings, including banks, hospitals, several government buildings, various television and radio stations, including the National Museum, the old National Parliament building, People's Square and Park, Yangon University, and leads up to Inya Lake.

Township is also nearest to the Innya lake for public recreation. Myanmar Engineering Association Office, MICT Park and Ooredoo Headquarter one of the communication operators in Myanmar are also situating in this township.  There are various training classes open around famous Hle-dan junction so that students in this township can attend and study classes easily. Because of crowded population and apartments, township always face traffic jam in rush hours.
