Bill Gates is back in the news, not for buying land, a hotel or home but for selling one.
The centibillionaire has found a buyer for his 1954 Modern home in the Seattle suburb of Medina.
The 2,400-square-foot property is next to his marvelous 66,000-square-foot Xanadu 2.0 estate and is a much humbler abode.

The four-bedroom, three-bath dwelling in Medina was listed for $5 million, and last changed hands in 2003 for $1,310,000, records show.
The house was snapped after spending less than two weeks on listings which could be owing to the Bill Gates name or the fact that you get to live in close proximity to the tech tycoon worth $131 billion.

The property may be small-ish but it is indeed endearing with warm wooden ceilings, a dual-sided statement fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows and 180-degree views of Lake Washington, the Seattle skyline and the Olympic Mountains.

What stands out in the home is a skylit kitchen with a cozy breakfast nook, a family room, open dining and living areas, a Zen garden and private beach access.
