Hundreds of Tesla Model 3s are piling up in a huge parking lot in Shanghai, not far from Tesla's plant. They are reportedly ready for shipment to Europe.
Footage uploaded on YouTube shows hundreds of newly refreshed Model 3s, stored separately from the pre-facelift versions.
Most of them are painted in white, but there are also red, blue, and black units. Not much diversity, is it? The one who uploaded the video captured during a drone flight claims that the cars sport EU logos.
That is why they must probably be heading to Europe soon.
The images were filmed near a no fly zone.
Europe might become the first market where Tesla kicks off deliveries.
China should also be scheduled to receive them at about the same time.
The production is quite low for the beginning: only 300 units are reportedly made per day at the Shanghai Gigafactory, where the pre-facelift Model 3 and the Model Y crossover are also in production.
The figures for the new Model 3 should change when the old version goes out of production, and the plant should be able to work on it at full capacity.
But the entire plant has recently proved able to build as many as 750,000 units per year, which would mean more than 2,500 cars per day.
The Gigafactory 3 has recently rolled off the assembly line the two millionth car.
America is going to have to wait longer to get the American compact sedan.
Tesla has not even released the specs for the American market.
When it happens, the Model 3 will already be in production at the Fremont plant as well.
The Model Y is also going to get a refresh in the near future.
Code-named Juniper, the crossover will carry over the mods applied to the Model 3.
That means that it should come with slimmer headlights, no fog lights, and C-shaped taillights cutting into the trunk, all with LED tech.
The Model 3 got two new body colors, the Ultra Red and Steal Gray.
The Model 3 Performance also gets the usual 456 horsepower in an all-wheel drive setup.
